Every year on October 11th, we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child. The girl child is an undeniable force to be reckoned with in our society. Met with so many challenges in our society like school dropout due to a lack of sanitary towels, teenage pregnancies, and early marriages among others, they carry immense potential to shape the development of our nation.

G4G has set out to help young girls realize their potential by equipping them with knowledge on how to overcome the hurdles that stand before them through mentorship programs.

There is profound beauty in having someone who has already walked the journey sit across from you, look you in the eye, and tell you that it is possible to overcome what seems like a mountain in front of you.

When mentors open up and share their lived experiences and hard-earned lessons, it sparks a vital shift in perspective—encouraging these young minds to believe that they too can persevere, break barriers, and make it.

It is this noble cause that inspired Newman’s to be a part of such an initiative.

We firmly believe that the girl child is pivotal in the social and economic development of our nation. If they are left behind, the potential and level of brilliance they carry will leave us all at a loss as a country.

True empowerment happens when safe spaces are created for these conversations to flourish.
