It is one thing for students to be active in sports while they are still in school—it is almost required of them. But it is quite another for these same individuals to stay active long after their school days are behind them.

At the recent Kawempe Muslim Old Students Sports Gala, we saw the latter in full action. Alumni who are now parents and business owners came out in full display of athletic spirit, proving that staying active shouldn’t stop after school.

Watching the Kawempe Muslim Secondary School grounds come alive with activity was a powerful reminder of that. Whether on the football pitch, the netball court, or a charged up game of ludo, participants showed that physical fitness and fun have no expiration date.
