It was an afternoon of glitz and glamour at the Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education (BRIBTE) Annual Eye Fashion Show 2026. On April 16th, the campus was transformed into a theater of dreams as students from the Art and Design department saw their visions come to life from mere sketches into physical reality.

At Newman’s, we are committed to nurturing the creativity of young people because we recognize them as the visionaries of Uganda’s future. To honor this creative intensity, we were joined by our celebrated brand ambassador, Allan Kutos.

As a master of the screen and a creative force in his own right, Allan’s presence was about more than just a guest appearance; it was about one creator inspiring another. His journey in the film industry serves as a testament to the students that with discipline and vision, their fashion pieces can indeed dominate the global market—just as his latest work, the film Last Taxi to Kawempe, has already garnered international acclaim even before its official premiere.

During the ceremony, he had the honor of presenting a special Newman’s gift to the Most Disciplined Student among the winners. At Newman’s we believe that while talent opens doors, it is character that keeps you in the room.

Beyond the stage, the connection continued as he spent time engaging with the young creators, sharing the very snacks that fuel his own busy career. One such moment was with Miss Buganda Royal Institute (pictured above), who experienced our latest innovations firsthand.

After tasting our snacks, her verdict was clear—she loved the authentic crunch and rich flavour that defines the Newman’s experience.
