Newman Foods Limited was delighted to participate in the Kawempe Muslim Old Students’ Association (KAMOSA) Annual Awards Dinner 2025, held on the evening of November 15th at the Mestil Hotel, under the inspiring theme, “Building Kamosa Together.”

As a brand committed to community development and fueling local talent, Newman’s proudly supported this gathering which recognized the achievements of outstanding alumni and celebrated the spirit of collaboration.

The Kawempe Muslim Old Students’ Association (KAMOSA) was originally established in 1998 and revitalized in 2018 to unite the alumni of Kawempe Muslim Secondary School. KAMOSA is driven by a deep sense of gratitude, aiming to support the school through initiatives like infrastructure projects, sports events, and scholarships. Their mission is to build a strong and connected alumni community that fosters mutual support, career advancement, and personal growth through networking and mentorship.

Old student associations are crucial pillars in preserving and advancing a school’s legacy. By fostering lifelong relationships among members, they ensure that the intellectual, professional, and financial capital of the alumni is channeled back to the institution. These associations bridge the gap between past and present, providing current students with invaluable mentorship, offering scholarships, and spearheading vital infrastructural projects. For schools like Kawempe Muslim, a strong alumni network ensures continued growth and positions the institution to empower future generations of leaders.

During the evening, we had the honor of meeting with Honorable to be Abraham Luzzi aka “Sarah is Tall” and presented him with a collection of our wholesome snacks.

The core of our mission is to provide clean, quality energy that powers ambition. We believe that by fueling the bodies of those striving for excellence from students to alumni leading our communities we contribute directly to the “Building Kamosa Together” vision.
