Right from its very inception about eight years ago, we have been a proud part of the Kanta Football Tournament. In fact, Newman’s was there as the foundational partner, joining as the first official sponsor right from day one. The reason behind our long-standing commitment is quite simple: the tournament’s core vision of community, youth development, and healthy competition speaks directly to our ethos as a brand.

Over the years, we have watched this incredible initiative transform from a local dream into a highly credible tournament, bringing together over 30 dynamic teams across Kampala and Wakiso to compete in the greatest sport in the world.

Newman’s has been a part of all the editions, providing essential tournament needs from full team jerseys and medals to the public address systems and the prestigious winner’s trophies.

We fundamentally believe in the power of sports to keep our communities thriving. Football is a beautiful way to get moving, stimulate the body, and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. More importantly, it gives our young people a positive space to channel their brilliant energy into constructive, character-building patterns. The 2026 action is officially ready to explode onto the pitch. The opening fixture promises nothing but action as the reigning champions, Real Stars FC, take on the fierce challengers, Saleh Tiles.

Newman’s will be on board, just as we have always been, to ensure the energy on the sidelines is completely refueled. We will have our signature snacks on hand to keep the fans satisfied as they take on the noble, passionate work of cheering for their teams and celebrating local talent.
