Building Connections: Newman’s in Iganga

At Newman’s, we know that the true measure of quality is found in the trust of the families who choose our snacks every single day. That’s why we love nothing more than getting out of the office and hitting the ground to connect directly with our customers!

This weekend, our team had a fantastic and eye-opening time in Iganga, reaching out to everyday heroes; from local vendors running small businesses to busy parents and the next generation of snack enthusiasts.

Iganga is a major town located in Eastern Uganda, serving as the chief municipal, administrative, and commercial center of Iganga District. Positioned strategically along the busy highway that connects Uganda’s capital, Kampala, to the border town of Malaba (on the border with Kenya), it is a vital transit hub. This bustling location makes Iganga a key commercial center and a perfect place for Newman’s to engage with a diverse and active population of travelers, traders, and local families.

For Newman’s, customer connection is the pillar of our brand, and this activation demonstrates our commitment. It means accessibility: ensuring our wholesome, quality snacks are available right here in the local markets and communities across Iganga. It means direct feedback: listening to you tell us your favorite flavors and what you look for in a quality product. And most importantly, it means community support: sharing energy, smiles, and appreciation with the hardworking people who keep our local economy moving.

Every conversation we have and every new face we meet helps us understand how to serve you better. Thank you, Iganga, for the incredibly warm welcome and the valuable insights!

We are committed to continuing these direct engagement efforts to ensure every customer, everywhere, can easily Taste the Magic!
