“WE DID IT!”

That was the rallying cry heard across the finish line on November 8^th 2025 at the Heart Strings Run 2025 that took place at Makerere University! Newman’s is incredibly proud to have been a key sponsor for this powerful event, which was a true testament to the power of community and compassion.

The Heart Strings Run, organized by Rotaract Club of Mulago, is more than just a race; it is a life-saving mission dedicated to giving babies with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (Hole in the heart) a second chance at life.

At Newman’s, we believe that running a race requires energy. And our snacks served as the much-needed energy boost for every runner and volunteer who dedicated their time and effort to this vital cause. Whether it was a quick bite before the start line or a rewarding crunch after the finish, Newman’s was there to power the steps that fund life-saving surgery.

The success of the Heart Strings Run 2025 was a massive community effort. We join in celebrating the incredible impact made possible by all the partners such as Centenary Bank, NBS TV, and Tek Sports and Recreation Community Facility but most importantly, by each and every one that took part in the run.
