Customer Service Week is an international annual celebration dedicated to recognizing the importance of quality customer service and honoring the people who serve and support customers daily. It was first championed in the United States in 1984 by the International Customer Service Association (ICSA), and it is celebrated annually during the first full week of October.
This year, we are proud to join the global observance as Customer Service Week runs from October 6th to the 10th.
At Newman’s, we cannot imagine our existence away from the customer. To us, the customer is the single most important piece of the puzzle in our entire business.
We may have the best seeds put in the ground to give us the best produce, which is then crafted into the best possible products. But at the end of it all, if there is no customer, there can be no Newman’s. Our purpose is rooted in serving you, and this week is a perfect opportunity to honor that foundational truth.
We are especially privileged in Uganda that this week falls at the same time as the International Trade Fair. By itself, this gives us a perfect, high-energy opportunity to honor our customers through face-to-face interaction.
Away from the Trade Fair, we also take special concern this week to remind our entire staff about the essence of the customer. It’s not just the frontline team that serves; every single department at Newman’s supports the final customer experience.
